Farms of the Future

This project will pave the way toward a deep understanding of the carbon footprint from the agriculture sector at Imperial Valley. Farm electrification can potentially mitigate the agriculture sector's carbon footprint if the abundant renewable energy sources are appropriately coordinated with the agricultural loads. This proposal presents a roadmap that delivers greenhouse gas emitting activities from transportation, irrigation, and water supply in the food supply chain production within the area.
