Seeds of Change: Empowering Youth in Restoring Native Habitat
Youth will be provided paid work opportunities at the Liberty Canyon Crossing Plant Nursery in LA County. Working with experienced rangers and leaders, a team of youth will survey 60-acres adjacent to the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Crossing and identify/remediate invasive species. A second team of youth will learn to collect seeds, to grow the native plants, and to help team one restore the native habitats of the Santa Monica Mountains.
